Places to shop in the Lake District

Are you the type of person who likes to shop a lot and are fed up with all the old places then come to the Lake District there are plenty of shops to be discovered from clothes shops to old antique shops. There is literally a shop for everything .Some most popular places are:-

1. There is the Summitreks which is a very popular shop that sells outdoor clothes and a lot of other clothes that are worn in this day and age, the store has been opened since 1987 and There are a few stores one in Ambleside, Coniston and Hawkshead.

2. The Elephant Yard Shopping Centre in Kendal, this is the most popular place to shop in Kendal. It is built on the site of old Elephant inn and has most of the popular shops that are visited in today’s day and age.

3. Jules B in Kendal is the second most popular place to shop in Kendal it is a multi-award winning designer clothing store and is a leading stockist of designer clothing for men and women. Ranges include: Barbour, Paul Smith, Boss, Armani Jeans, Nicole Farhi, Anglomania and Twenty8Twelve.

4. The Lake District has its own Glass centre in Ulverston. The Lakes Glass Centre makes some of the traditionally made lead crystal in the UK and has great quality. At the centre you can see the glass being made in front of you and also buy pieces at reasonable prices from the shop.

5. The Lanes Shopping Centre in Carlisle is an amazing place to visit it offers great shopping in the heart of Carlisle; The Lanes Shopping Centre is located close to the historic castle, the cathedral and Tullie House Museum. Everything you want in one building.

6. Westmorland Shopping Centre in Kendal, Whatever you are looking to buy, you will find it here, and this is the only covered shopping centre in south Lakeland. There is plenty to see and buy all at reasonable prices.

7. Stewardsons Outdoor Clothing in Hawkshead is the best place to visit when looking for outdoor clothes. It Was Established for over 40 years, Stewardsons sells waterproof breathable jackets, fleece jackets, trousers, rucksacks, walking boots, sleeping bags, camping gear and much more.

8. Lake District Outdoor at Cockermouth and Keswick are 2 very good outdoor equipment sellers. Specialising in outdoor clothing and footwear, plus camping equipment, and cycling, climbing and fishing equipment, Lake District Outdoor is the place to come for lovers of the great outdoors.

9. Wheelbase UK at Staveley here you can buy cheap bikes and bike accessories. This is the UK's largest bike shop, and you can find an extensive range of road and mountain bikes from the top names in cycling. Approximately 300 bikes in stock at any one time.

10. The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, This famous shop has been making Cumbrian confectionery since 1854. The shop is tucked away in the corner of the churchyard of St.Oswald's.
